Lesson #3: The Pocket Challenge

Strategy #3: The Pocket Challenge- oftentimes we've already taught our horse a STRONG bridge that a treat is coming- our hands going into our pockets. Teaching them that the bridge is actually the word/sound we choose, not the pockets, is an exercise that can take a bit of practice- but is well worth it. Be on the lookout for the moments your horse thinks about keeping their head straight to give them the bridge word and then the treat.
